Huffington Post tells the story of Pitz's first 20 years of his Didgeridoo career!  huffingtonpost.com

The Didgeridoo brought Pitz to Senegal in Dec. '11 - Jan. '12!!!  Pitz was honored by being invited by the Arts Are Essential organization and their affiliate, The Senegal-America Project  www.arts-are-essential.org/senegal.about.php  In Senegal Pitz taught kids how to play Didgeridoo, built instruments from local materials with kids (kids kept the didges they made!) and recording sessions were completed at Youssou N'Dour's guitarist, Jimi M'baye's studio with melodic percussionist, Tony Vacca www.tonyvacca.com and members of Baaba Maal's band, Massamba Diop and Barou Sall!

Pitz is a member of an extremely unique world music trio called 3 TREES.  Other members include Tomchess on Oud, Ney & Morsing and Jon Seligman on Percussion and Chants.  3 Trees won top grant honors from the Maryland Arts Council for best world music recording in 2011.  Their sound can be loosely described as the Middle East meets Native Australia.  The trio is currently mixing a CD which is due out July 1.
